Got to get out the apartment for a little while!
We took the boys to my parents’ house (after much discussion whether ‘G’ should go or not, since he’s grounded for a nasty display of his attitude a couple days ago…decided he can go, but must read his book and do some math while he’s there).
After dropping the boys off, hubby and I went out to Chinese for dinner. Mmmm! That was good! Then we went over to KMart. Since we didn’t have the boys, we figured we may as well get the Ostara/Easter shopping done. Bought candy and a few little toys for their baskets from the “Easter Bunny”. Also got them a little gift for Ostara, which is this Sunday. And I’m working on getting ‘K’ potty trained…so we bought him some “big boy” underwear. Hopefully that will give him some incentive to go on the potty.
After leaving KMart, ‘J’ (hubby) decided he wanted some ice cream, so we stopped off at Baskin Robbins. Oooo, that was yummy! Then we headed home.
Once home, we checked the answering machine, which had three messages…one from my sil, and two from my mom. Apparently ‘K’ was coughing and not breathing very well (he’s got asthma, as does ‘G’). I called her and she said we needed to come pick him up. No more kid-free weekend…but if ‘K’ was getting sick, I’d rather have him home with me, anyway.
So we got back in the car and headed back out to my parents’ place. When ‘K’ saw me, he said “mommy” and climbed into my arms. He was (is) so congested. He wasn’t like that before we took him out, so he might be coming down with something.

Now hubby and he are asleep, but he still sounds pretty congested…and he threw up earlier, at my parents’ and after he had gotten ready for bed at home. Hope this bug (if that’s what it is) passes quickly.
