The Results……
Well, I thought it was going to be a couple days until my doctor got back to me with the results from the ultrasound yesterday. She was quick….and got back to me today.
She called a little while ago and said that the ultrasound images showed that I had a small (3 cm) cyst on my right ovary. I think she mentioned it was a simple cyst, but I don’t remember. I looked it up and reading this article, it seems like that’s what it is. She said as long as I don’t feel any pain, we’re going to take the wait-and-see method, since simple cysts usually go away by themselves.
I have to go back in about 2 months, so she can check and make sure it’s not getting any bigger.
My feelings……well, kind of surprised that something was found, but since it’s something that usually resolves on its own (and I know they’re common), I’m not feeling too bad. I feel like myself.
