Onesome - Drop: Have you ever dropped something that you can’t believe you did? Was it a priceless item or that big secret?

Today, my hubby said it was $2.80!! 8O

Threesome - Please Read: What’s that latest item you’re reading? Is it for pleasure or are you required to read it?

Your Knowledge

Do you keep a journal or some other archive to keep track of what you learn, rituals you attend, etc?
I was writting them in a notebook journal, but I find it hard to keep up with it that way. I’m a techie Pagan…lol. I gotta do it all computer. So I use my blog as my journal. Makes it much easier and I tend to keep up on it better.

Would you ever want to share all the knowledge you’ve gained on your path? Or would you prefer to keep it personal, only to those close to you?
Well, since I put it all in my blog, which is public, I am sharing it! :)

How do you plan to pass down what you know to your children?
When they get older and get more interested (if they get interested…lol), I’ll explain my beliefs more in-depth and if they really want to participate, I’ll let them. For now, I just sort of incorporate the Sabbats in with the Christian holidays…since that’s what we’ve always celebrated (in a secular way). I bake goodies and give a brief explaination of the occasion. I’m also sure to leave the way open for all beliefs. ‘G’ (my 9 year old) asks spiritual/religious questions once in a while and I answer the best I can…keeping all beliefs open.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I gotta start posting more often, like I used to. I have become addicted to the Revelations meassge board. :) So much to learn from other people’s views and beliefs. That’s pretty much been what I’ve been doing for the past week. Yesterday I caught up on some of my email that I’ve been falling behind on. And today I need to start catching up with making tags that have been requested…kinda falling behind on that, too.

So, today is Mother’s Day and we’re broke. That’s not unusual…though we usually have enough money to go out to breakfast or something. Not this year. So we’ve been sitting at home, pretty much doing nothing. It’s raining, too (which I like the rain), but not sure if I’d want to go out in it anyway.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers/grandmothers/great-grandmothers and so on and so forth!

Birthdays courtesy of Sunday Brunch (though I thought today would be a Mother’s Day meme…oh well)

“A diplomat is a man who always remembers a woman’s birthday but never remembers her age.” -Robert Frost

2) Are there any famous events or famous people that share your special day?
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

3) What did you do to celebrate your last birthday?
Ummm…I know that was only a few months ago…but I really can’t remember. ‘J’ bought me a Wiccan book.

4) What is your best birthday celebration that you can remember?
Well, I had some great sleepovers when I was younger. Can’t remember one specifically that was the best.

5) What is the best birthday present you have ever received?
I’d have to say when ‘J’ bought me a new computer last year. We got it a week after my birthday. It wasn’t/isn’t only mine…but I use it more than anyone else!

I’d say about 14-15 hours

6. Do you wash your own car or take it to the car wash?

Monday Madness

Monday Madness: Let’s Go Digital!

From the time you get up in the morning until the time you go to bed at night, how many different digital/electronic devices do you use on any given day? Please consider listing them, as it would be interesting to see what everyone comes up with!
Let’s see…..
1. alarm clock
2. computer
3. tv
4. dvd player
5. vcr
6. stereo
7. microwave

…and an optional random question, because I just cleaned my mouse…
How often do you clean your mouse?

My mouse is laser mouse, so it doesn’t need cleaning in the way a roller mouse does. But because we have a rabbit, the hair seems to be attracted the little laser on the mouse…so once it a while (when I noticed the arrow on screen jumping a bit and not running as smoothly) I have to blow into the little hole where the laser is, to clear it of rabbit hair.

Late Monday Madness

Monday Madness

1. On what day of the week were you born? (If you need to find out, click here.)
Thursday

2. Were you born in the morning, afternoon, or evening?
3:30 in the afternoon

3. How many siblings do you have? Brothers or sisters?
6 sibs; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I’m the oldest.

4. Do you (or did you) ever wish you were an only child? And if you ARE an only child, did you ever wish you had brothers and sisters?
Yes, of course there were times I wished I were the only one, but I’m so glad I’m not. I love having a big family.

5. Did you (or do you) dream of having a big family of your own?
With the above being said, I do not want that big of a family of my own. I have 2 boys now, and hubby and I are planning for at least one more….but no more than two more.

6. In your opinion, which is (or would be) easier to raise; boys or girls?
I don’t think either are “easier”. Having 2 boys (and no girls) it’s hard to say, but I think boys and girls both have up times and down times. From what I’ve seen growing up (around all my sibs) boys are harder when they’re young, but easier when the get older. And girls are easier when they’re young and harder when they get older.

7. In looks, do you favor your mother or your father?
Definity my mom. :) I look (and sound) like her!

Feeling much better today. :) Do’t know what was up yesterday…maybe the altitude change coming back from my sis-in-law’s or I caught some 24 hour bug…but I’m glad it’s gone!

Sunday Brunch
The 50 States
“In a country as big as the United States, you can find fifty examples of anything.” -Jeffery F. Chamberlain

1) What state were you born in?
California

2) What state do you currently live in?
California

3) How many states have you been in? (and yes, driving through counts!)
4…California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada

4) If you had your choice regardless of cost, which of the 50 states would you choose to live in?
Ummm….this is a hard one to answer since I really haven’t been to many states. I just wouldn’t want to live in the tornado states…lol!

5) Which of the 50 states would you rather die than live in?
Just as my answer above, it’s hard to answer because I only have experience in the west coast states. I guess because I’m terrified of tornados, I’d wouldn’t want live in the states that have them.

Your Spirituality

Do you feel that you are active in your spirituality?
Yes and no. I do celebrate the sabbats and I have started celebrating the esbats (full moon) a couple months ago. I really do need to meditate more and get more into the day-to-day spirituality.

What do you consider to be the most tedious task in your path?
I enjoy all aspects of my path thus far. For me, the setting up is just as important as the ritual itself…it even energizes me! :) I guess cleaning up and putting everything away is a bit tedious. But it’s also a good time to come back “down to earth” from whatever it was I was doing, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing.

What is your most enjoyable part of your spirituality?
Knowing the closeness I have with the Goddess and God…no matter how simple or elaborate my rituals and meditations.

Don’t have a best one. They’ve all been great…except last year when nobody did anything (everyone was broke).

5) If you are Catholic, did you observe Lent, and if so, what did you sacrifice for Lent?

Meaningless…but Fun

FQ TOPIC: Birthday.

FQ1: When is your birthday?
January 27

FQ2: Anything interesting happen on your birthday in history? (LINK… http://www.historychannel.com/thisday/ or maybe type the day into http://en.wikipedia.org/)

On January 27, 1926, John Logie Baird, a Scottish inventor, gives the first public demonstration of a true television system in London, launching a revolution in communication and entertainment. Baird’s invention, a pictorial-transmission machine he called a “televisor,” used mechanical rotating disks to scan moving images into electronic impulses. This information was then transmitted by cable to a screen where it showed up as a low-resolution pattern of light and dark. Baird’s first television program showed the heads of two ventriloquist dummies, which he operated in front of the camera apparatus out of view of the audience.

And just because I lived near Sacramento at the time (I was a year old):

In a truly horrendous crime, Richard Chase, the “Dracula Killer,” murders Evelyn Miroth and Daniel Meredith in Sacramento, California……..
Later, the 28-year-old Chase was tracked down and found in a field. He was naked, covered in cow’s blood. Apparently, he had porphyria-the need to drink blood……..
Police found that Chase’s home was filled with human blood. It was found in the blender and in the sinks, suggesting that Chase had been drinking it for some time……..
In 1979, Chase went to trial and his attorney argued that he was insane. However, a jury found that he was sane and sentenced him to life in prison. Chase killed himself in his cell at San Quentin on the day after Christmas in 1980.

FQ3: Anybody famous share your birthday? Do you have anything in common with them? (LINK enter your date on left side… http://www.imdb.com/OnThisDay)
Bridget Fonda, Mozart - the only 2 on that list I recognize. Not sure if I have anything in common with them.

FQ FUTURE: On your 100th birthday, what year will it be and what do you think you’ll be wanting as a present then?
The year will be 2077. Wow! If I’m still alive and healthy…just the love of my family. At that age, what else is there?? :)
